Google Local Map Entries
This appears to have changed name to some extent as Google refers to it as Place Pages. Google have added a new feature similar to the short Twitter type of entry whereby you can enter a brief bit of news or an update which presumably they will include in their real-time search. Each mini post expires after 30 days. If you go to your local business centre page and click on the reports link you will see this additional feature at the top right of the page.
